The project was the design and construction of an additional Cleanroom installation for Trend Technologies centre of excellence for injection moulding.  The project involved the integration of a new Cleanroom with their existing room into one larger cleanroom to include the integration of all the existing and new M&E service required for the space. 

Energy Efficiency:

This has been achieved with the following mechanical and electrical design solutions:

• High Efficiency air cooled liquid chiller plant added to the existing overall central cooling plant installation.
• Fan filter unit technology with EC motors
• High efficiency fan motors with lowest feasible fan power
• Variable speed technology on all fans and pumps.
• Low flow water efficient fittings
• Heat Recovery on all Mechanical Plant
• 2 Port pressure independent control technology to all cooling / heating coils for local control
• Energy-efficient lighting (LED) utilised throughout.
• Energy metering utilised to keep management informed on usage patterns, electricity sub-metering of significant energy end users.
• Building Management System utilised to inform management on energy consumption, space heating, water temperatures, etc.

M&E Services Included:

• New 10 kV Switchgear and cabling and transformer with new MDB
• General Power and Emergency Lighting.
• Full HVAC throughout the building.
• Hot & Cold-Water services.
• Fire Alarm, Access Control, Data, etc.
• Process water installation 
• Compressed air installation
